Stage 1. Research Formulation & Instructional Planning
Initiated the undergraduate thesis by addressing a core challenge in educational technology: determining the most effective medium to deliver complex cognitive material to young learners. Formulated a comparative research framework focused on sixth-grade students learning about the solar system. The research aimed to contrast two distinct sensory learning approaches: auditory (Audio Drama) and visual-interactive (Digital Board Game).
Stage 2. Instrument & Media Development
Leveraged the two educational products I previously developed—the "A Flight Through the Space" podcast and the "Mengagumi Alam Semesta" interactive web app. Ensured both media were strictly aligned with the school's curriculum and cognitive learning objectives. Successfully deployed these instructional instruments in a real-world classroom environment to facilitate the empirical study.
Stage 3. Comparative Analysis
Conducted rigorous field research to measure the students' cognitive learning outcomes before and after interacting with the respective media. Utilized quantitative assessment tools to gather data on knowledge retention, comprehension, and student engagement. Methodically analyzed the data sets to draw a direct comparison between the effectiveness of the audio-based and interactive-based instructional designs.


Stage 4. Research Findings & Evaluation
Synthesized the empirical data to uncover critical insights into how different multimedia formats influence cognitive load and learning efficacy. The findings provided actionable evidence on the strengths and limitations of both auditory storytelling and gamified interactivity in an elementary education setting. These insights were thoroughly documented to serve as strategic recommendations for future curriculum development.
Stage 5. Thesis Defense & Academic Culmination
Compiled the comprehensive research into a formal undergraduate thesis titled "Analisis Komparatif Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa pada Materi Tata Surya melalui Media Audio Format Drama dan Multimedia Interaktif." Successfully defended the research methodology, data interpretation, and educational implications before the university's academic panel, leading to my graduation from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.



Reflections
This graduation project was the ultimate synthesis of my academic journey in Educational Technology. It bridged the gap between creative media production and rigorous pedagogical research. Beyond designing aesthetically pleasing apps or engaging podcasts, this research taught me the paramount importance of data-driven instructional design. Testing my own creations in a real classroom setting proved that effective learning design must always be validated by tangible user outcomes. This empirical mindset is what I now carry forward into the professional Learning & Development landscape—ensuring every solution I create is both innovative and proven to work.
